“Phoney” professor at UVic prompts review of hiring practices

Jason Matthew Walker, 31, is under investigation for falsely claiming to hold two PhDs, which allowed him to gain positions at the University of Victoria and a Saanich counseling clinic. He has been charged with fraud, forgery, and swearing a false affidavit. Full article

UVic begins rabbit control pilot program

For many students at the University of Victoria, the feral rabbits that roam the campus act as unofficial mascots for the school. The university administration has, however, grown worried about the number of rabbits present, and is beginning to test methods for reducing their population. Full article
